Why is Detailing necessary?
Having your vehicle detailed on a regular basis helps reduce deterioration of the finish. Older vehicles have a single stage paint finishes that easily oxidizes and reduces over time. Today most vehicles have a clear coated finish which can still oxidize, lose shine, and peel. The effects of the environment to include sun, wind, dust, and rain all affect the exterior appearance of your vehicle. The interior as well is impacted by these elements that is why it is necessary to detail the interior as well to protect the interior finishes as well to include the dashboard, seats and vents. By cleaning, polishing, waxing and treating we can help reduce these harmful effects and prolong paint life and interior finishes. What is clay bar?
Clay is a mixture of clay base and various mild abrasives that is used to remove paint contamination. Road grime, tar, bugs, rust, tree sap and even paint overspray can be removed with a clay bar. Claying does not remove the clear coat of the paint. It takes a few passes of clay to feel the difference on the surface of the paint. Claying does not replace polishing. It is simply a process that should be used before polishing compound is used. Claying should be used once or twice a year depending on the year of the car or truck to prevent build up of containments.

Difference between wax and polish.
Wax is a protective coating that is applied to the exterior surface of an automobile to prevent oxidation. Wax does not protect against bird droppings, acid rain or tree sap. The only reason a wax is applied to the exterior surface of an automobile is to protect the paint or clearcoat from forming oxidation.
Polish is a cleaning compound that removes impurities from the paint which prepares it for waxing, sealing, or protecting.
They are very different and should not be confused, although the retail industry has mixed them up greatly in their advertising as having a wax that polishes too. However this is not possible because the substances perform separate functions.
Experience is required when working with polishes. Polishing agents remove oxidation, surface contaminants and also some of the clearcoat surface. An inexperienced polisher can create swirl marks on the painted or clearcoat surface. Fine polishing agents can create fine swirl marks.
Swirl marks can be hidden or masked when applied with wax but will return and become very visible once the wax wears off.

What do we do on the interior on a platium detail?
A car is a huge investment that should be protected. Just as important as keeping your car's exterior clean, having a clean interior is an essential part of preventive maintenance. A dirty cabin not only looks and smells bad, it can also create or contribute to operational problems.
Dirty air vents can spread dust and other allergens about the cabin. Filmy windows and mirrors can obscure the driver’s view of the road. Grit and grime can work their way inside buttons and switches and cause them to fail.
Detailing is just what the name implies--it is a meticulous cleaning, going beyond simply picking up old fast-food wrappers and emptying the ashtray.
VACUUMING
We vacuum the headliner, seats, truck/cargo area, visors, seat pockets, and other upholstered areas, such as the rear parcel shelf. We use dusting brushes to vacuum plastic, hard vinyl, and metal parts such as vanity mirrors and dashboard components--hard vacuum nozzles can possibly scratch or nick these parts. We vaccum the complete interior to include vacuuming the carpet; including moving the seats forward or backward to reach areas under the seat.
CLEANING
Clean out all vents, cracks and cervices, door jambs, all interior trim to include around doors and windows.
Carpets and cloth upholstery are cleaned by applying spot remover and cleaned. During warmer months carpets are steamed cleaned, during cooler months the carpets are hand washed.
Leather trim. We use a leather cleaner on a damp cloth and rub it softly onto all leather areas. Where areas are dirty we use soft brushes to remove the build up and a lot of elbow work.
Hard surfaces. We use a cleaner to get any remaining dirt on your dashboard, rubber door moldings, and interior trim. We also clean tight areas such as air vents, panel seams, and radio buttons with a dampened cotton swabs, and small paintbrushes.
FINAL TOUCHES
Conditioning. After cleaning, leather can be treated with a conditioner at an additional cost. This is particularly valuable for dried-out leather. All the plastic/hardsurfaces get a dressing to protect them.
